Information stored on your device

Your settings, player name, puzzle progress, scores, streaks and downloaded language editions are stored locally on your device. Deleting the app or clearing browser data may remove this information.

Leaderboards and Apple services

When you submit a hosted leaderboard score, Block Words sends your chosen player name, an app-generated player identifier, puzzle number, edition, mode, and score to its leaderboard service. On iOS, the current daily leaderboard for Core English, Mini, Spanish, French, and German can use Game Center instead; Apple processes Game Center and in-app purchases under its own privacy policy.

Advertising

The free iOS edition uses Unity LevelPlay to serve contextual interstitial ads and optional rewarded ads for in-game hints. The web build uses a first-party, cookie-free analytics service that records a random pseudonymous visitor ID, broad referral source, campaign label when provided, coarse device and operating system, event counts such as page views, games started or completed, leaderboard views and install-button clicks, edition, mode, puzzle number, and approximate game duration. It does not record names, player IDs, scores, keystrokes, page content, raw referrer URLs, or raw user-agent strings. The iOS app does not run this analytics service. We do not sell personal information. You can purchase the ad-free option in the app.

Sharing and retention

We do not sell your personal information. Leaderboard records are retained so daily results remain available. You can change your public player name or reset local progress in Settings.
